The waste disposal app addresses the critical question of which recyclable materials can be disposed of, when, where, and how. It offers quick access to individual collection dates, providing reminders for all scheduled pickups at up to five specified locations, based on user preferences. Users can select their personal locations within the app's profile settings.

The app features a slider that allows users to choose which collection dates for specific recyclable materials they wish to receive notifications about. During the profile setup, users can also specify whether they prefer to be reminded of upcoming collection dates via local notifications and/or calendar alerts. Any unscheduled changes to collection dates are accounted for in both notification methods.

Additional functionalities include:

• An A to Z guide or resource that assists users with the disposal of particular recyclable materials while directing them to the appropriate disposal sites.
• An overview of all disposal locations complete with operating hours and a routing feature.
• A summary of both fixed and mobile hazardous waste acceptance points.
